As one of the five members of the executive Council of the City of Lucerne, Franziska Bitzi Staub heads the Department of Finance and represents the City of Lucerne, which hosts and also gives the name to our biannual core-meeting – the «World Tourism Forum Lucerne».

Franziska Bitzi Staub was born and grew up in the Canton of Lucerne before she completed her studies at St. Gallen University and passed the bar exam to become an Attorney at Law. After her studies she worked in the private sector before acting as head of legal department of the Department of Finance of the Canton of Lucerne and as General Secretary for the Department of Interior Affairs for the Canton of Zug.

Before her election to the City of Lucerne´s Executive Council, she was a member of the City Parliament for 12 years. Among other responsibilities, she currently acts as Member of the Boards of Directors for Lucerne Tourism and Lucerne Business.
